Reporting bugs

Debugging is useful if you would like to help out the developers by tracking down hard-to-find bugs. However, there are some things you need to think about before reporting a bug in order for it to be useful for the developers:

  • Run the program in debug mode (scons debug=1)

  • If it's a crash bug, make a backtrace with gdb

  • Search the list of already reported bugs to make sure you don't report a dublicate

  • Details about all of the above and more is avaliable in the debug section of the manual. The manual is here.

    Finally, the bugtracker is here.
