Mailing list


We now have a more structured way of communicating with people: a mailing list. Look under Contact for more information. We are also trying to get a more structured way of handling bugs. Thus, we're in the process of adding all known bugs to the bugtracker.

In other news, some progress has been made on the program. Phase added a first implementation of tranfer listing and some bugfixes. There's still a long way to go but I feel like we're making progress....

0.4034


Updated the client part to 0.4034. Had to modify it a bit to get it to work. Some of the changes should probably be sent to the main dc++ team, some are too ugly. I'm not in the mood to create patches atm tho. The gui part is not compleatly updated and expects data in the current locale sometimes, but that should be pretty easy to fix. And there's the usual bugs. But it's something atleast....

Credits


Added a credits file to the cvs. Added the names from the dc++ about dialog so that nobody gets left out =) There are some problems with updating to the 0.4034 client code, some of my code does not work correctly with it. I'll try to fix this before uploading rather than putting broken code in the cvs....

Autoconf


The project now builds using autoconf. This should make it a lot easier to compile, since it hopefully will tell you what's missing if it fails. Just do ./configure and then make and you'll end up with a nice, freshly compiled program.

Next, I'll try to integrate the latest dc++ source code and post a tar.gz. The problem is that the client part doesn't build with g++ 3.4, and 3.3 seems a bit flaky. It works on my machine but seemingly not on others. So I'll be moving towards having g++ 3.4 as the official, supported compiler....
