This project is not dead
Just a quick "this project is not dead" note =) It's almost a year since the last web site update so I thought this was in place. Here's a quick rundown of where we're at right now:
* The cvs has been updated somewhat regularly this past time at a slow but steady pace. This slow pace will probably continue.
* I hope we can at least release a tgz pretty soon. Call it 0.1 super-beta or something, you get the point =) Also on the wish list to santa are a new website and a restructuring of the code but those two are more distant.... Read more...
Changelog
Added a changelog entry in the menu bar thingy. It's really just a link to the changelog file in the cvs, but it's better to do something basic like this that at least has a fair chance of remaining up to date than something fancy that we'll never update.
In other news I haven't really done a lot of work on the program lately, I'm too busy at school. Phase has been keeping the updates coming as usual though. I have no eta on when I'll have more time to spend on this, it's just wait and see I guess.... Read more...
New Linux dc++ version
It's been a while but at least I have some good news today: We have released a new version of the program! What happened was that basically I wasn't motivated to fix the old program so I started a new design instead. If you want to check it out it's in /linuxdcpp/ on the cvs. As usual, read the Readme for instructions.... Read more...
Satus update
I haven't posted any news in a while so i thought I'd post a status update. Development of the gui has been pretty rapid recently, we've added a lot of functions to that part. Favourite hubs is the only feature of the windows client I miss at least. Sadly this has come at the price of a very unstable client, we've got a lot of crashes and freezes. Also, uploading is not 100% working. So we are going to focus on stabilizing the program now. We don't have a clue about when we'll release files for download.... Read more...
CVS reorganization
We've reorganized the CVS a bit today. We no longer keep files in the root dir, but have moved them to a subdirectory called linuxdc++. So now you should checkout "linuxdc++" instedad of ".".
